Our International Friends
In 2006, Mary Ray, who started the sport in the United Kingdom in 1990, conducted a workshop at Camp Tailwaggers on the Gold Coast, Qld. For most, this was the first introduction to canine freestyle and heelwork to music training techniques. Workshop participants also came from interstate, and it was from this workshop that the passion for the sport began to grow.
Since then, we have had many top international canine freestyle trainers and performers visit our shores. We thank all of them for being so generous with their time and knowledge and for supporting what is still a very young sport in Australia.
