Costumes
A costume makes an impact and sets the flavour and theme for a routine. For example, wearing boots, jeans, checked shirt and cowboy hat may be appropriate for a routine using country and western music, but it would be inappropriate in a routine using jazz or classical music.
“Jungle greens” may be appropriate in a routine with a combat, escape or similar theme, but not in one reflecting a cabaret or jazz theme.
The music for some routines, on the other hand, does not suggest a particular style of dress and in this case ‘themed ’attire would not be expected – though a ‘costume’ still would be.
Costumes do not need to be expensive or elaborate.
